Cyndi Hunter
Hi there!
I'm a Canadian marketer based in NYC. I stumbled into the realm of online advertising accidentally, transitioning from outreach work in Canada’s poorest neighborhood, to promoting brands such as Yelp, NBC and POF in the media realm. My passion is to help businesses grow while building community both on and offline, so working in the wild west of digital media been a natural fit.
Okay, here is where I go off on the business-y things that I especially enjoy:
- Digital Marketing: Helping amazing businesses to be seen and to succeed.
- Community Management: Engaging with and growing online communities to inspire enthusiasm and brand loyalty.
- Growth Hacking: The practice of using (mainly technical) experimentation to uncover the best ways to grow a business. I freaking love this emerging field — so exciting!
In my free time I'm all about:
- The Great Outdoors: Although I love the city, camping completes me! I love to be near mountains and lakes/ocean, hiking, snowboarding, attempting to surf, etc...
- People: Making them feel loved, part of a group, and discovering what makes them feel most alive. I love organizing theme parties and community events and seeing friendships form as a result.
- Food: Being raised in the countryside where meals were pretty simple (potatoes, steak, salad), I'm thrilled to eat any kind of ethnic cuisine I can get my hands on. And I do! From Ethiopian to Polish to Japanese, I'm craving it all.
- Pranks: I used to pull some pretty amazing ones in college; I could tell a lot of stories but I'll keep you in suspense for now. If you have some though, I want to swap stories.
- Travel: Duh, I know we all (?) do, but I couldn't not mention it! My last trip was a 2000 mile roadtrip that started in NYC and included DC, Nashville, NOLA, Austin, with many adventures in between. Can't get enough of the open road.
So that's me in a long-ish nutshell. Feel free to email me and/or to add me on social. It's what the kids are doing these days! Let me know if I can help with anything.
Word to your mother,
Cyndi
